Julie Legrand specializes in program management on a variety of marketing projects, including brand strategy, web and print collateral development, direct marketing and other innovative marketing promotions. Julie has over 15 years of marketing experience in management consulting, software development and book publishing and is able to oversee a cohesive strategy incorporating all three aspects of any marketing project: content development, art direction, and technical implementation/ print production. Previous positions include co-founder and publisher of SmartsCo, consultant for the Great Place to Work Institute, product manager and alliance manger at Onlink Technologies (acquired by Siebel Systems), and manager in Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice. She holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor of arts in Political Science from University of California, Santa Barbara.

Julie is a winner of the Make Mine a $Million entrepreneurship award, and has been a featured speaker at several small business conferences including: American Express Small Business Forum on SBTV, the Commonwealth Club of California, Ladies Who Launch, the Women’s Leadership Exchange as well as various radio appearances. She appeared in a national TV, radio, web, and print ad campaign for OPEN by American Express, and has been featured in several publications including The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, Start-Up Nation, and several others. Currently she is a mentor with the Hatch Network, helping women entrepreneurs get their businesses started.
