Welcome to our new website … Powered by WordPress! As a firm that helps companies build effective websites, it was kind of pathetic that we continued to have a junky old one. It’s the old cobbler without the shoe story. Read more…

I’m taking a short break from my Infographics articles, to return to a topic I started writing on a few years back – product game changers. I recently attending a talk put on by Inc. Magazine that featured Dan Heath Read more…

It was news to me that LinkedIn had a whole host of tools through their LinkedIn Labs site.  According to the site

“LinkedIn Labs hosts a small set of projects and experimental features built by the employees of LinkedIn. We share them here as demonstrations and to solicit feedback, but please remember that they are intended to be low-maintenance experiments, and may be added and removed over time based on popularity and support. I was pretty excited to review Visual.ly as I thought it was a tool I could use to create a cool infographics on the topic of my choice. Unfortunately that’s not what they offer – at least not yet. However, as I look out at some of the future tools I want to test, I’m a bit scared though as I’m finding getting the data into the correct format is easier said than done. But that’s for another day. For today, I’ll tackle another easy one, Visify’s Tweetsheet. This tool helps you see which posts got the most retweets, who your best followers are, your geographic impact and gives you a word cloud of your favorite themes. Read more…

So it’s Day 1 on my 30 Tools in 30 Days journey. I’m starting with the easiest ones – basically the ones pulling existing data from social networks and other sources. Right now I have to rack my brain on what will be cool new  information to visualize. But that’s my challenge. So starting with a super easy tool, Visualize.me. This is a cool tool that pulls all the information from your LinkedIn profile and turns it into an infographic. Read more…
